Our team comprises journos, writers and seasoned Samuiites who have worked for The Times & The Sunday Times, Time Out (Melbourne, Sydney, Hong Kong and Dubai), Traveler’s Digest, Fah Thai Magazine, Broadsheet, Samui Wining & Dining, Samui Holiday Magazine, One Coast and Luxury Living.
We’re dedicated to bringing you the very best in food, drink, spa, travel and luxury experiences from all over the island and throughout Southeast Asia. If you have any thoughts or ideas about Samui Life, or just want to say ‘hi’, please contact us – we’d love to hear from you.

Kaila Krayewski, Koh Phangan correspondant
During her time on Koh Phangan (four years and counting), Kaila has kept herself busy. She began by founding Archipelago Communications, a digital agency specialising in social media and content marketing. While watching her company blossom, she started the Koh Phangan Business Association, and ran a successful writer’s workshop, which she plans to continue in the near future. Kaila writes the daily Facebook and Instagram posts for the Shangri-La Hotel Group, and is a regular contributor to BK Magazine and several in-flight publications. She’s also had rave reviews for her new fiction novel, Dons of Koh Phangan.
Michelle Cullen, Contributor
Michelle left the bright lights of London to work in the dive industry in Samui, despite never having dived before. She fancied a change from the hectic pace in her television job where she is a production manager, and the call of the sun and tropical beaches got louder, so here she is! She currently splits her time between London and Samui, loves travel and anything to do with wildlife and she hope to combine her two passions for as long as she can!
Beini Shi, Contributor
Beini writes with the Archipelago Communications team, based in Koh Phangan. She moved to Bangkok in August of 2014, and was mostly successful in surviving her first rainy season, although she lost a few pairs of shoes to the sewers of Bangkok in the process. She’s been writing for various publications since 2004, a mixture of reviews, non-fiction and travel industry related articles. Her goal is to touch the soil of every country in SE Asia. Her passions include coffee, seeing how many chilis she can tolerate in her food without asking for coconut milk, and dogs.
Camilla Torlage, Contributor
Camilla is currently an intern at Archipelago Communications. She is a travel, exercise and blogging enthusiast. Upon completing her degree in Strategic Communications, she followed her travel dreams and set off to embark on a journey around Thailand, making imprints as an English teacher one classroom at a time. After a year and a half of teaching experience, she could no longer ignore the creative pull into the world of marketing and communications. She has an extensive background in promotional activations in South Africa since 2009 representing brands such as L’oreal, Clarins, various alcoholic beverages as well as events. She is now ready to ignite her creative flame as a content writer for all things luxury travel related.
